Impact of digital transformation on the labor market and new employment models in Azerbaijan

This study examines the impact of digital transformation on the labor market in Azerbaijan and explores emerging employment models resulting from technological advancement. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the comprehensive assessment of digitalization trends within the Azerbaijani labor market and the identification of new employment forms, including remote work, platform-based employment, and freelance labor. The findings reveal that digital transformation contributes to increased productivity, creates new job opportunities in information and communication technology (ICT) sectors, and simultaneously generates challenges related to skill gaps and labor market adaptation. The research highlights the necessity of continuous workforce reskilling and supportive government policies to ensure sustainable employment growth in the digital economy.The object of this research is the labor market of the Republic of Azerbaijan under conditions of digital transformation and technological development.The research is based on a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. Comparative analysis, statistical analysis, and descriptive analysis were employed to examine labor market trends and digitalization processes in Azerbaijan.
