Abstract

The most relevant of the modern innovative economy one of the problems is the increasing role of knowledge and its transformation into one of the most important resources, that is, intellectual capital, in ensuring economic growth and progress. Since new knowledge increases the market value and competitiveness of the enterprise that uses it, this knowledge can be considered as one of the strategically important resources of the enterprise. Therefore, the role of intellectual capital in the production of goods and services has been increasing in recent years. At the beginning of the 21st century, the value of intellectual
capital in high-tech American companies accounted for up to 80% of the total value of capital. If at the stage of industrial development of the society, more raw materials, materials, energy resources, labor force were required for the production of products, then the post-industrial and information society has created a need for the use of intellectual resources, i.e. knowledge, rather than physical resources, which in the new types of products created, in new technologies, new habits, skills, it manifests itself in the system of new relations with consumers, because knowledge plays the role of a locomotive of development in the modern economy.
