Abstract

The article gives a description of tourism activities and brings to the attention of its 
role and socio-economic, cultural, environmental significance in the modern economic system. The 
factors causing the quantitative and qualitative changes occurring in the development of tourism are 
explained. The essence of agricultural tourism as one of the types of tourism is interpreted and the 
conditions that ensure its development are listed. The principles of organizing agricultural tourism, its 
characteristic features are noted. The measures that need to be taken to ensure the development of 
agricultural tourism are listed.
